The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center (WCAC) is kicking off its juried annual members' show on Tuesday, May 23, when the exhibit opens to the public.
"We have a wonderful variety of two- and three-dimensional art in different mediums and styles by outstanding local professional and emerging artists," said Janis Wood, WCAC president. "This exhibit is not to be missed."
Local artist and teacher Jan Ledbetter, AWS, NWS, VWS, most recently renowned for her beautiful portraits of Guatemalan women, judged the show. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three winners and nine merit award winners at a private members' reception on
The show is being sponsored by Williamsburg Landing. It runs through June 30.
The WCAC "blue building" is located at 110 Westover Ave. in the Arts District of Williamsburg (Westover Ave. runs between Lafayette St. and Richmond Rd., two blocks from the intersection of those streets). Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11-3; and Sunday, noon-4. Visit our website at www.visitWCAC.org
