Williamsburg Host Lions Club Conducts Spot Vision Screening at Clara Byrd Bakerr Elementary School

The Spot Vision Screener is a handheld, portable device designed to help users quickly and easily detect vision issues on students from 6 months of age through adult. Spot screens both eyes at once from a nonthreatening 3-foot distance. The touch-screen display allows for one-touch activation, simple management of Student data entry. The Williamsburg Lions Clubs in the Area are performing this screening on all local schools in the Williamsburg Area. Of the 125 students screened at this school 21 were given referrals which will be mailed to their parents from the school nurse. These screening give parents a heads-up warning that there child may not be seeing the chalk board clearly.
