The Williamsburg Knitting Guild presented fellow knitter Elisabeth Reiss, wife of President and CEO Mitchell Reiss, and Joni Stevens, Colonial Williamsburg volunteer and guild member, with 45 twiddlemuffs on August 1. Twiddlemuffs are hand muffs with bits and bobs attached, designed to give stimulation to patients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The twiddlemuffs will be distributed to various caregivers in the community. Those who would like to get involved can donate their own hand-made twiddlemuffs or supplies to one of two local drop-off locations: Yarn Matters (www.yarnmatters.com) and The Flying Needles (flyingneedlesyarn.com).
