Williamsburg KOA Presents Camp Fantastic with $15,000 Check for Children with Cancer

This past Thursday on June 30th, the Fout family of Williamsburg KOA on behalf of KOA Care Camps presented Dave Smith with a check for $15,000. Dave accepted the check on behalf of Camp Fantastic, an organization that provides free camp programs to children with cancer.

KOA Care Camps is a nationwide program that currently supports 129 different camps across North America and has distributed $1.5 million this summer to allow children with cancer and their families to attend special medically supervised summer camps and retreats at no cost to the attendees. Each year there are more than 45,000 people who benefit from these programs. In addition, more than 20,000 volunteers give up their time to help run the programs.

Our KOA in Williamsburg is proud to be a part of the KOA Care Camps initiative to help give kids the chance to go camping and have carefree fun. We look forward to continuing to support the national KOA Care Camps program in meeting their $2 million goal for 2016.
