What would you do if you could return to the most important summer of your childhood? The Williamsburg Players present "Dandelion Wine" by Ray Bradbury, the legendary author of "The Martian Chronicles" and "The Illustrated Man," in a classic tale of nostalgia and mortality.
Adapted by Bradbury from his own semi-autobiographical novel, "Dandelion Wine" tells of a man who goes back in time, to revisit the small town of his youth. He meets his own teenaged self and all of the townspeople he knew, and the magical things that happened to him then.
"Dandelion Wine" will be presented Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m., November 2 through 18, at the James-York Playhouse, 200 Hubbard Lane, Williamsburg. Tickets are $20 adults, $12 students and children. Buy tickets online at williamsburgplayers.org or call the box office at 229-0431.
