Williamsburg Presbyterian Church presents A Community Service of Lessons & Carols

Williamsburg Presbyterian Church welcomes all to its annual Community-Wide Service of Lessons & Carols on Friday, December 1st, at 7:00 PM.

The service follows a traditional format, first presented in England in 1880. It follows the Christmas story, told through nine readings and nine carols, from Genesis to the birth of Christ. Director of Music, Chris Bechtler, explains, "The beloved annual service from King's College Cambridge is broadcast around the world. We are excited to continue this tradition in Williamsburg".

Williamsburg Presbyterian Church is not alone in presenting the service. Explains Associate Pastor Rachel Hébert, "Lessons & Carols is the perfect opportunity for the Williamsburg community to come together and celebrate the beginning of the Advent season. We are especially honored to welcome various musical ensembles and readers from William & Mary, as well as from nearby churches".

The free service will be presented at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church at 215 Richmond Road on Friday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome. Questions: 757-229-4235 or mywpc.org
