Williamsburg Rotary briefing on the global role of the Navy's Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command

Eddie Montero hosted Capt. Eddie Sullivan, USN, Commanding Officer for the Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command. Captain Sullivan gave a fascinating talk about mobile field hospital units and how they have dramatically reduced deaths resulting from battlefield injuries. Because of these units many wounded combatants' lives have been saved, though often they must adapt to living with painful and disfiguring injuries. Capt. Sullivan (left) was presented with a book donation certificate by President Chuck Hobson for his outstanding description of the responsibility under his command.
