Aaron de Groft (right), Director of the William & Mary Muscarelle Museum of Art, was guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Williamsburg. De Groft reviewed the history of the museum pointing out that the museum's reputation is now considered as one of our nation's premier small museums. Director de Groft announced that a selection of masterpiece drawings by both Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo are being loaned from Italian museums for an exhibition at the Muscarelle this coming Feb. 21 to Apr. 5. This exhibition will be the first to allow visitors to explore the contrast between Da Vinci's's philosophy of beauty with his rival Michelangelo's drawings. Shown with de Graft are Williamsburg Rotary Club's President-Elect Chuck Hobson (left) and Director Groft's host, club member Sibilla Dengs.
