Williamsburg Rotary Club prepares for healthy nutrition holiday meals

The Williamsburg Rotary Club recently had the pleasure of hearing Megan Cordova, a Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator for the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, present the club on what is needed to handle holiday dinners and parties and stay healthy. Cordova brought a sample of what 5 lbs of fat looks like to make it real for her audience. Her focus was not just weight management she discussed but she also sold all on how nutritious food choices are mandatory for your general health and for your heart, both so important for life. Past-President Bringier McConnell (left) shown in the photo holds the fat sample Cordova used in her presentation. Cordova is shown receiving a book certificate in appreciation from the club that states that they had donated a children's book for the Williamsburg Regional Library in her name.
