The Williamsburg Symphonia League's Encore Affair #5--"Muscarelle Magic Redux" was held on Friday evening, March 11, at the College of William and Mary's world-class museum. Art and music lovers enjoyed a harmonious evening featuring wine, a seated dinner and docent-led tours of the Muscarelle Museum's current impressive exhibits: "Norman Rockwell and the Boy Scouts", "Hiroshige's 53 Stations of the Tokaido" and "Light Works: A Century of Great Photography". Hosts for the festive party were Aaron and Lee DeGroft, Doug and Janis Wood, Don and Linda Baker, Linda Kligman and Paul Try; Margene and David Hartsough, and Ron and Cecie Adolphi. Special guests were Williamsburg Symphonia Music Director Janna Hymes and Executive Director Carolyn Keurajian; and Ingrid Brown, Williamsburg Music Association President.
The Encore Affairs series of fundraising events and parties, begun in 2007, benefit Williamsburg's own orchestra and its community educational programs. For further information about Encore Affairs and the Williamsburg Symphonia go to www.williamsburgsymphonia.org.
