For the 17th consecutive year, Williamsburg United Methodist Church will present its annual concerts of George Frideric Handel's "Messiah", Part I: the Christmas Story, on Friday, December 4th, at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, December 5th, at 5:00 PM. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately following each concert.
Lou-Anne Smith, Director of Music Ministries, will conduct the 82 voice volunteer chorus (comprised of members from 22 area church choirs and 10 communities) and professional Handel Chamber Orchestra. Soloists include Sarah Kate Walston, soprano; Phaedra McNorton, contralto; Ian Lane, Tenor; and Branch Fields, Bass.
