WindsorMeade Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

June 27, 2017 marked the 10 year anniversary for WindsorMeade Williamsburg. Since the official opening in 2007, WindsorMeade Williamsburg's campus continues to grow and the future will bring more changes that deliver new and expanded services to our beautiful 106 acre property.

Currently, our Hadley House (skilled nursing care) is undergoing an expansion that will nearly double its size, from 12 to 22 private rooms that will be Medicare certified. We also look forward to opening our Manchester House (memory support) in the very near future. The Manchester House will be our newest addition to the WindsorMeade community, specifically designed for those dealing with the challenges brought on by Alzheimer's and related dementias. The Manchester House will be home to 18 residents and will offer programs and services tailored for each resident. Trained professional team members will interact with residents, working to enhance their lives while fostering autonomy. Our compassionate WindsorMeade team members will embrace a culture of resident-centered support. This means every aspect of our programs and services is focused completely around your loved one and his or her personal preferences. We believe this is an essential ingredient to creating the Essence of Home-where the past and present come together to establish a home for today.

Our success is based on a commitment to hire, educate and retain well-suited team members who are capable of creating and maintaining our culture and philosophy. The desired qualities of our people start with an ability to adapt, be flexible, be understanding and take interest in our residents. Those who work in the Hadley House, Abingdon House (Assisted Living) and our future Manchester House must be patient and compassionate, as well as being committed to knowing the residents personally (social history, such as family, past experiences, occupation, likes and dislikes).

The commitment to ensuring that WindsorMeade Williamsburg, a Pinnacle Living (formerly Virginia United Methodist Homes) community remains a premier continuing care retirement community with stellar programing is paramount. This expansion project points to an exciting and bright future for this 10 year-old organization!
