WISC Prepares to host the Inaugural Warhill 8K Run

On November 19, 2016 the WISC will host the Inaugural Warhill 8K Run benefiting the Tidewater Sharks Soccer Club. The date does not have great significance; the Club chose a date in the Fall when the weather is cooler. In addition to the Spring Annual Golf tournament, the Tidewater Sharks Club wanted to provide a race for the Williamsburg community as it promotes health, fitness and enjoyment. The race will be another opportunity for our coaches, parents, players and the local community to come together and enjoy the 1 mile fun run or the 8K run. The club offices are located at the WISC, so we are very lucky to have such a great race course right on our doorstep.

All proceeds from the 8K and 1 mile Fun Run will benefit the players at the Tidewater Sharks as we are a non-profit organization. The funds will help keep player fees the lowest in the Williamsburg area, and also provide scholarships for low income families.

The Tidewater Sharks Soccer Club is proud of providing soccer opportunities for players at all levels and we will continue to do so. This year we have added two full time staff that have provided more resources for our players. The club has over 40 coaches who will continue their coaching education to benefit our players. We provide Fall, Winter, Spring and summer seasons so our players have access to all year round training and development. We currently provide soccer for over 500 recreational players and 450 travel players.

Please come out on November 19th to participate in the Warhill 8K Run or 1 Mile Fun Run. Registration begins at 7:30am and the race kicks off at 8:30am.
