Women’s Auxiliary Ministry Celebrates 122 years

On Sunday, April 17th at 4:00pm The Women's Auxiliary Ministry of First Baptist Church will celebrate its 122nd Anniversary by Ringing in Freedom with song. The guest musical chorale is the GTG Ensemble of Williamsburg. The Women's Auxiliary was established in 1894 and is the oldest continuing Ministry in the church. Throughout the years, the Women's Auxiliary has initiated and completed many projects, church and community wide, preparing and delivering meals to the sick and shut in and those less fortunate throughout greater Williamsburg. The Women's Auxiliary has provided lunch to the homeless and evening meals and snacks to the youth enrolled in the tutoring program at the church. The ministry currently provides quarterly food baskets to those in need and is looking to embark on New Youth oriented programs. This year the ministry hopes to pass the torch of Godliness in Service and to continue spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Celebration, which begins at 4:00pm, is free and open to the public.
