Two separate crashes were causing major delays late Sunday morning on I-64 westbound.
VDOT reported a crash involving multiple cars at 11:06 a.m. near mile marker 245.8 in James City County. The west left shoulder, left and right lanes were closed. Traffic was getting by on the right shoulder.
The back-up there is about four miles.
The other crash happened in Newport News at mile marker 251.1. As of 11:40 a.m., it was causing a mile and a half back-up, according to VDOT.
