Man with dementia reported missing found safe in James City County

James City County police located a man who was reported missing Tuesday morning, according to county spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.

James Lee Johnson, a 54-year-old man with dementia, was found safely Tuesday afternoon, Williams said. She said she did not know where police found Johnson.

A 54-year-old man with dementia was reported missing from his home on Camp Road in James City County, according to police.

James Lee Johnson was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police said he's about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 130 lbs. Johnson uses a cane to walk and has a swollen jaw from an abscessed tooth.

He was last seen wearing a camouflage hat with orange markings, a gray shirt and pajama bottoms, according to police.

Police ask anyone who may have seen Johnson or has information on his location to call James City County police at 757-253-1800.
