Sunday expected to bring warm weather, rain, thunderstorms

Sunday’s high temperature will be 76, but that doesn’t mean a sunny spring day is in the forecast.

The warm day comes with a chance for rain and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

During the day, the chance for showers is 40 percent, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Winds will get up to 17 mph.

In the evening, the weather service says rain will fall, and a thunderstorm is expected after 11 p.m. The weather service warns of possible severe weather and heavy rainfall. Gusts will get up to 28 mph, and the low temperature will be 58.
