A 17-year-old York County girl has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy last month, officials said.

The 16-year-old boy reported to police he was stabbed in the area of the Belmont at York Apartments, in the 100 block of St. Clair Circle near the Bethel Manor area of York County, Feb. 13, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

The boy told investigators he was stabbed when he met with a man to settle a dispute from the day before, officials said. But investigators later learned that the stabbing was actually due to an attempted robbery of a drug dealer, Sheriff’s Office officials said on social media Thursday.

A 17-year-old girl is accused of stabbing the 16-year-old boy several times while he was assaulting another male, who he was attempting to rob of marijuana, officials said.

She has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding.

The 16-year-old boy was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He later was charged with attempted robbery, officials said.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times during a fight in York County on Sunday night, an official said.

Deputies were dispatched to the Belmont at York Apartments, in the 100 block of St. Clair Circle near the Bethel Manor area of York County, Monday evening in response to a report of the incident, according to spokesman Lt. Dennis Ivey.

The boy said he was playing basketball at a nearby basketball court about 7 p.m. Sunday when he and a man, about 18 or 19 years old, exchanged words, Ivey said. The two agreed to meet the following day at the basketball court to settle the dispute, he said.

As agreed, the two met at the court at 3 p.m., but afterward the boy said the man followed him back to his apartment.

The two began fighting, and the man stabbed him multiple times in his back, causing one of the teen’s lungs to partially collapse, Ivey said.

During the fight, a female, who the victim believed was the man’s girlfriend, also kicked the teen several times, Ivey said.

The victim was treated for his injuries at the Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, according to Ivey.

The incident is still under investigation, Ivey said, and no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. No additional details were released.
