    The Freedom Bell of Williamsburg's First Baptist Church travels this month to Washington, D.C., where it will ring during the dedication of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. On Sept. 12, 2016, the bell was removed from the First Baptist Church tower in Williamsburg for the first time in 60 years using a crane, the first step of its historic journey to Washington on Sept. 21, 2016. The President is scheduled to attend the event. Here the bell sits in its moving cradle in front of the church.
