The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two people robbed Rip’s Food Store in Yorktown last week.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the store at 905 Denbigh Blvd., according to sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Dennis Ivey.

The two woman working inside the store at the time told investigators two men entered with handguns and demanded cash. The women handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the men fled the store, Ivey said.

No injuries were reported.

Both robbers were wearing dark-colored hooded shirts and jeans with their faces covered. No additional suspect details are available, Ivey said.
