William and Mary’s Marcus Thornton was just the third Tribe player to be named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association, in voting announced Thursday.

Thornton, the league’s No. 5 scorer at 18.6 points per game, joins Adam Hess in 2003 and ’04 and Randy Bracy in 1998 as W&M’s first-team all-conference. Thornton led the CAA in 3-pointers made, with 85 and shot 43.1 percent from the field.

Towson’s Jerrelle Benimon was overwhelming choice for Player of the Year, and regular season champ Delaware had two on first team: Devon Saddler and Davon Usher.
