A concrete-mixing truck fully engulfed in flames Monday morning killed one person and shut down westbound lanes on I-64 for much of the morning in James City County.

State police were notified of the wreck about 6:50 a.m. just past the Lee Hall exit at mile marker 246, said Sgt. Michelle Anaya.

Police found the truck on fire and the single occupant trapped inside.

Traffic was detoured off the interstate for about three hours until one lane opened up. Both lanes were open nearly five hours after the accident.
