One lane has been opened and the detour lifted on Interstate 64 at Camp Peary Exit 238 in York County, according to VDOT. The backup remains about 4 miles long.
Both lanes were closed in response to a vehicle fire at about 11:30 a.m.

A vehicle fire on Interstate 64 has closed all eastbound lanes between Exit 238 Camp Peary and Exit 242 Jamestown/Route 199 in York County, according to VDOT.
A detour is taking drivers off of the interstate at Exit 238, and VDOT advises drivers to expect delays and use an alternate route.
The backup is currently about 2 miles long.
