Board members, market manager Libbey Oliver and the Howell Team began the re-branding and development campaign last year, culminating in a new brand image, including a new logo and color palette, with was introduced to the Market in late April. This is the first change in the logo since the Market began in 2002. It was appropriate that the Williamsburg Farmers Market turned to a local long-time sponsor for the project, because of its history as a producer-only market."We're very excited as we start the second decade of the market to have a brand that is fresh and current and also stays true to our history and sense of place," said board chairwoman, Marty Wilson. "We felt it was important to work with a team that had not only skill but also a proven commitment and dedication to the market. Howell Creative Group, under the leadership of president and creative director Kathy Howell, has been a generous and supportive sponsor of the market from the very beginning, as they designed the initial logo when the Market first launched."
