Officials: Million dollar winning ticket sold in Williamsburg

A $1 million dollar winning Powerball ticket was sold in Williamsburg last week, Virginia Lottery officials said.

The ticket, for the July 22 drawing, was purchased at Terrace Grocery, at 1102 Penniman Road in Williamsburg, lottery officials said in a news release.

The ticket matched the first five winning numbers and missed only the Powerball number, officials said.

The winning numbers were: 5-32-44-53-60, Powerball 9.

The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize. Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of the ticket, before doing anything else, to establish ownership. Winner should then contact the Virginia Lottery when ready to claim the prize.

The stores each will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Virginia Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
