NWS: Slightly warmer, chance for showers on Peninsula Wednesday

The temperature is going to climb slightly on the Virginia Peninsula Wednesday, but showers may continue.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high temperature about 56 degrees and a low about 50.

There’s a 20 percent chance for showers after 10 a.m. Winds will be out of the southwest, 5 to 9 mph, picking up slightly overnight.

Temperatures are expected to continue warming through Friday.
