NWS: Slight chance snow showers on Peninsula Wednesday morning, then mostly cloudy

There's a slight chance for flurries on the Virginia Peninsula Wednesday morning, but no accumulation is expected.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 20 percent chance for snow showers before 11 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a high temperature about 46 degrees.

Winds will be out of the west, 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Expect an overnight low about 31 degrees.
