NWS: Outlook sunny, but fire advisory issued for area

The National Weather Service says Thursday will be a sunny, breezy 68 degrees, but while the weather is carefree, you shouldn’t be.

The NWS warns of increased fire danger across eastern and southeast Virginia on Thursday afternoon and early evening, citing the combination of low relative humidity (25 to 30 percent) and strong, breezy west winds (25 to 35 mph).

Virginia residents are reminded that outdoor burning is prohibited before 4 pm each day through April 30th, and the NWS urges residents to just skip burning things altogether tomorrow. However, if you must ignite anything, ignition sources need to be handled with extreme care, especially cigarettes.

The low for Thursday is 39, and the night is expected to be mostly clear.
