Nathan Rollins recognized

Nathan Rollins, a student at Jamestown High, was presented a $2,000 check by Maj. Earl Johnson, Hampton Roads Chapter commander, as the national winner of the 2012 Phoenician Award Essay Competition during his June 5 Explorer Post 911 meeting at James City Fire Station 2. The award is sponsored by the Military Order of the World Wars. Rollins is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Order of the Arrow, an honor student and an athlete. He is active in his Fire Service Explorer Post and does volunteer work with the Viva Foundation of South Africa. He is the son of Kip and Roxanne Rollins of Williamsburg.
