Day of Caring

The Williamsburg Rotary Club¿s guest speaker recently was Cameya Huffstead, customer relations manager for the United Way of Greater Williamsburg (UWGW). With the help of United Way's newest employee, Katie Schubert, Huffstead thanked the Williamsburg Rotary Club for being one of this year's Caring Sponsors for their Day of Caring. Pictured (from left) are Club President Sean Driscoll, Huffstead, Schubert, and Rotary Assistant Governor Frank Ferrante. Schubert is shown holding a title sheet of a children's book donated in their honor by the club to the Williamsburg Regional Library as a token of appreciation for their presentation describing last year¿s Day of Caring event and in describing the morning events now planned to kick off at the Legacy Hall in New Town on Friday, Sept. 13. This year¿s Day of Caring, which is coordinated by the UWGW, expects to have up to over 800 volunteer workers involved with dozens of charitable projects.
