Icenhour tapped for state veterans post
RICHMOND – Gov. Terry McAuliffe has announced the appointment of former James City County Supervisor Jim Icenhour to the state's Board of Veterans Services. Icenhour retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1987 after 20 years as a fighter pilot, during which he flew almost 200 combat missions in Southeast Asia. He was awarded to Distinguished Flying Crosses, according to his bio. The board monitors the welfare of Virginia's veterans and sets policies to enhance veteran services across the commonwealth.
