Missing Ford's Colony resident found safe by police

Richard Homiczewski, 77, was found by James City County Police at approximately 4:45 p.m. after being reported missing Saturday morning, per James City County PD spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.

The Ford’s Colony resident was found in the woods near his home, Williams said.

Homiczewski was last seen walking on Tay River in Ford’s Colony after leaving his home on foot at around 10:30 a.m., per a James City County news release.

Homiczewski is in need of medication that he left at home, according to the news release. He is described as a white male wearing a button-down plaid shirt, khaki pants and white tennis shoes.
