The James City County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday evening to discuss the county's comprehensive plan, as well as a rezoning plan for The Village at Candle Station, a proposed development.
The public hearing on the comprehensive plan will include comment on whether or not the land use designation for a parcel of property owned by BASF Corp. can be switched from General Industrial, to Mixed Use.
BASF Corp. is hoping to sell the land to a developer that can construct a waterfront resort. The property has sat vacant for nearly 21 years. Getting the land designation in the comprehensive plan will be the first step in any process.
The meeting is open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m. at the James City County Government Center, located at 101 Mounts Bay Road, Suite F. Check vagazette.com for more updates.
