James City County and Kingsmill Resort are working together to give children a chance to show their creative side by designing t-shirts.
The annual "Tee" Design Contest for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship is accepting submissions.
"In years past we have received approximately 50 entries each year," said Laura Messer, county tourism event coordinator. "This idea came up about five years ago and the question was how could we engage children and the LPGA so we came up with the t-shirt design."
Messer said they don't set a limit on submissions.
The winning design will be printed on t-shirts for participants in the 2017 Junior Clinic that takes place on May 20. The Kingsmill Championship takes place from May 15- May 21.
Children from 5-12 years old who are part of the county's before and after school programming, REC Connect, or are county residents are allowed to submit designs.
The REC Connect program offers year-round before and after school programs and summer camps for ages 5-14.
Designs should be in a landscape layout, incorporate golf, James City County and the LPGA while also using no more than five colors. The deadline for entries is April 10.
