York man faces DUI, maiming charges in two-vehicle crash

WILLIAMSBURG - A York County man is facing a maiming charge in connection with a Nov. 8  accident on Richmond Road.

Ross Alexander Kinard has been charged with DUI, maiming as a result of DUI, driving without headlights, and driving on the wrong side of the road. Maj. Greg Riley with Williamsburg police said, as of Monday morning, Kinard had not been arrested. 

Around 2 a.m. on Nov. 8, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Richmond Road and Delaware Avenue. Riley said investigation of the accident revealed Kinard was driving his 2002 Ford Taurus east on Richmond Road when he crossed the center line and struck another car.

Kinard was taken to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. The other driver was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center, according to Riley, who did not know the extent of the injuries.
