James City County is holding a Neighborhood Forum Wednesday in an effort to educate residents on emergency preparedness.
Sarah Ruch, manager of the county emergency management department, will be the featured speaker. She will focus on how to prepare for hurricanes.
The Neighborhood Forum is a series of educational sessions held on the second Wednesday of every other month. Each forum features an update from James City County Police and a brief networking break where attendees can talk to county staff.
At this forum, a representative from the police department will have a question and answer session with attendees.
The event is free and open to the public.
