Christian Brahe, an artist from Williamsburg, recently celebrated the opening of an exhibit titled "…As if the Force Could Extract Something Special," in which his work is featured, at Southfirst Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, N.Y. Brahe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce K. Brahe, III, is a recent graduate of University of North Carolina in Greensboro with a master's of fine arts. Brahe's pieces at Southfirst have been described as "a collision between traditional fine art practices and new media viewing experiences." His work has also been on display at the Galleria ISA in Montecastello, Italy, at Verum Ultimum Gallery in Portland, Ore., at XYZ Gallery in Blacksburg, and at several galleries in Greensboro, N.C.
