Cowboys Uncorked turns winery into Old West

For 275 people in the greater Williamsburg area, the Williamsburg Winery will transform into a scene from the Old West, complete with a quick draw contest, jailhouse, whiskey bar and much more.

You can “bail” out some of the arrestees by donating to Dream Catchers, a James City County-based nonprofit that provides horse therapy to children with developmental and emotional needs.

The entire event — Cowboys Uncorked — has a rodeo theme, so dress accordingly. Don’t forget your cowboy boots: There will be line-dancing lessons and a slew of other games for attendees as well.

There will be plenty of barbecue, brisket, wine and beer at the event, lest you get hungry while reliving the times of yesteryear. In case you can’t attend the event but are still interested in the cause, visit dreamcatchers.org.
