Two teenagers are accused of stealing guns, money, jewelry and other items from cars on Nov. 28 and 29, spokeswoman Stephanie Williams of the James City County Police Department wrote in an email.
A 16-year-old boy from Newport News was charged with seven counts of petit larceny, grand larceny and five counts of credit card theft on Dec. 4, Williams said.
A 17-year-old boy from Hampton received the same charges, Williams said.
The boys are accused of stealing the following items from cars:
Keys, money, a wallet, two handguns and two rifles on the 100 block of Astrid Lane
A purse, makeup, wallet and credit cars on Astrid Lane and Nina Lane
CDs, jewelry, a wallet, a purse, money and a knife on the 100 block of Nina Lane
A wallet, credit cards and money from the 3000 block of Francis Court
Two GPS devices, keys, jewelry and money from Jan Rae Circle
Money and credit cards from the 3400 block of Lindsey Lane
A purse, wallet, ID and credit cards from the 3200 block of Kenton Court
