'Turn: Washington's Spies,' the AMC hit-series, was shooting in Colonial Williamsburg. Several streets near the Governor's Palace were blocked off or shut-down for filming with actors on set in full costume.
Henry Bronchtein, a producer on set, said the show has shot at several locations in Virginia but said Colonial Williamsburg was uniquely suited for some of the show. "It's got some unique stuff you can't get anywhere else," he said.
The show is based on the book "Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring" by historian Alexander Rose. The show has attracted nearly 3 million viewers per episode. Check vagazette.com for more updates.
