Pictures: Incoming W&M freshmen pitch in for local nonprofits
Incoming freshmen at the College of William and Mary recently spent a week volunteering with greater Williamsburg nonprofits to begin what program organizers hope is a rich relationship between students and the community. The program, dubbed "7 Generations," takes place before the start of school and is in its fourth year. Students help out at Heritage Humane Society, Housing Partnerships Inc., Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Campus Kitchens and more.
