Donny Deutsch buys in East Hampton
Donny Deutsch has got some new digs.
The host of CNBC's "The Big Idea With Donny Deutsch" closed last week on the purchase of a 3.3-acre oceanfront compound just off Further Lane. Deutsch paid $29 million for the spread, making it one of the most expensive properties per acre in East Hampton.
The listing agents were Julie Briggs and Charlie Esposito of the Corcoran Group. "The seller got a good price and the buyer got a great piece of property," Briggs said, commenting on the deal.
The estate sits high on a bluff, and includes three homes, two pools and a 100-foot pond and waterfall. Producer Steven Spielberg once rented one of the houses on the property, and his Oscar-winning movie "Schindler's List" was edited there.
Deutsch's new neighbors include designer Helmut Lang and comedian Jerry Seinfeld, whose 12-acre, seven-bedroom home there recently made OK! Magazine's list of top U.S. celebrity summer homes. Seinfeld had purchased that property from Billy Joel in 2000.
