Police reports from Commack, Dix Hills, Fort Salonga, Huntington, Huntington Station and Northport

Commack

  • A stereo was taken during a burglary yesterday from the Nails 4 You salon on Jericho Turnpike. The glass front door was broken to gain entry.

  • Video games were stolen yesterday from the Target store on Veterans Memorial Highway.

    Dix Hills

    • A burglary was discovered yesterday at a house on Deanna Court. The police report did not give any information on what was taken but said entry was made through a sliding-glass door.

    Fort Salonga

  • The glass door was broken yesterday at the Village Deli on Fort Salonga Road. When the glass was broken it triggered the alarm system, so there was no entry into the store.

    Huntington
  • A burglary was discovered today at the Park Avenue Deli. The police report said money was taken from the cash register. A rear door was broken to gain entry.

    Huntington Station
  • A fax machine was taken during a burglary reported yesterday at the K Plan office on Walt Whitman Road. A basement window was broken to gain entry.

  • A storage shed was reported damaged yesterday that was in a gated area at a day-labor hiring site on Depot Road. The police report said some items including a weed whacker were stolen.

    Northport
  • A burglary was discovered yesterday at La French Dockside Cleaners on Fort Salonga Road. The owner said money was taken. A glass door was broken to gain entry.
