Mullin's record stands for itself

In response to a recent letter regarding candidates for the 93rd District, I take umbrage at the false statements that Del. Mike Mullin “has no real solutions” and his issues page “has nothing really related to the district.”His website, mullinforvirginia.com, contains issue by issue profiles and accomplishments. Thanks to four laws Mike sponsored, we are more financially secure, better prepared to reduce substance abuse and victims of domestic abuse are better protected. All bills passed with bipartisan support. When funding for the Chesapeake Bay was jeopardized, Mike led the College Creek Rally in Williamsburg. Believing health care is a basic human right, he worked with Sen. Mason and the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority to complete the late Sen. Miller’s efforts creating WATA Route 11, providing transportation to Lackey Clinic for York County and northern Newport News residents.Mullin advocates for public schools and works toward universal pre-K. He believes that funds earmarked for public schools should not fund charter schools. Heather Cordasco favors funding charter schools. Mike also met with educators to address our school-to-prison pipeline, emphasizing the moral and fiduciary responsibility to our citizens.

He has demonstrated his commitment to the 93rd District and his ability to transform concepts into effective legislation, while working with both Republicans and Democrats in Richmond. Get to know Mike; join him every Saturday at 5 p.m. for a Facebook Live chat at “Mike Mullin for VA.” He has earned our vote to continue representing our 93rd District in the House of Delegates.
