Finding the perfect hat for Preakness [Pictures]
When it comes to Preakness fashion, it's all about the hat. For some guidance, we went to Christine A. Moore, the New York City-based milliner who has been dubbed "The Official Milliner of The Breeders Cup." Moore, fresh off of an appearance at the "Today Show," is no stranger to creating the perfect hat. Her designs have been worn by celebs such as Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and showcased in magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue. We asked Moore about this year's top trends. She gave a hat tip to brims, bows and bold colors. Here are some of her suggestions. --John-John Williams IV

Moore says that the wide brim is always in style. "Go big or go home!" she said. "[Preakness] is all about over-the-top stunning yet elegant looks, and Baltimore has great style fashion. The trim for wide brims should be clean and simple. It's very important to not go for over-the-top trashy or a wide brim beach look."
