Urban Meyer was known as a great recruiter for the Florida Gators and now for the Ohio State Buckeyes. But is he really considering a 2-year-old from the class of 2029?
Recently, Meyer received a recruiting pitch from Sullivan Busser -- yes, age 2 -- of Columbus, Ohio. Well, actually the pitch was from Sullivan's parents since Sullivan's likely not writing letters yet. (If he is, he needs to be in college now but working on some Nobel Prize-worthy research, not his football game.)
According to WJW-Fox 8 in Cleveland, Sullivan's mom and dad -- big Buckeyes fans -- sent Meyer a letter touting Sullivan's attributes.
He might be a little undersized right now -- being listed as 3-foot-2 and 25 pounds. But they included pictures of Sullivan at the U.S. Capitol with the comment "he leads by example" and then lots of pictures of him on the Buckeyes' actual field with comments such as "he runs a fast 40" and "he can throw a perfect spiral."
Myer responded to Sullivan and his parents with this letter:Dear Sullivan:
Your parents sent us your future Buckeye recruiting information. We will look for you to make your collegiate football debut in 2029 — you will need to gain a little weight, but our strength staff will take care of that! Go Bucks!
