Jamestown alum Christina Herbert only D-III female golfer to make VaSid All-State

Bridgewater College freshman and Jamestown grad Christina Herbert was the only Division III player selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State women's golf team released Tuesday.

Herbert was a second-team selection and became the first All-American in program history this spring, earning honorable mention honors from Women's Golf Coaches Association. She was also named to the All-East Region team.

Herbert ranked 10th nationally in scoring average (77.89), with 34 birdies and one eagle over 18 rounds. The first team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection placed in the top-five of all 10 events this season.
