Jamestown third in Bay Rivers golf opener

Poquoson signaled that it could be a new factor in the Bay Rivers District golf race, winning the BRD's first 10-team match of the season with a 332 Tuesday at Royal New Kent.

New Kent (341) was second, and traditional front-runner Jamestown (347) was third.

New Kent's Robb Kinder fired a 3-under-par 69 to take the medal by five strokes over runner-up Josh Brown of Poquoson.
