The Williamsburg Lawn Bowling Club has one tournament left at Williamsburg Inn, on the green it has called home for 50 years.
The club will host a tournament Saturday before it closes on Sunday and is inviting the public to watch and give the sport a try following the conclusion of competition.
Williamsburg Inn's lawn bowling green will be demolished due to the expansion of Colonial Williamsburg's Gold Course of the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.
Lawn bowling club president Jack Edwards told The Gazette in early April he hoped the club would continue, but they couldn't be certain of it.
It is believed to be the only regulation lawn bowling green in the state and one of only a few in the mid-Atlantic.
The club continues to search for a permanant place to call home.
