Coming off a CAA championship season, William and Mary released its baseball schedule on Friday.
The slate includes 26 home games at Plumeri Park and four opponents that appeared in the 2016 NCAA tourney.
William and Mary kicks off the season with a trip to 2016 College World Series participant Florida for a three-game series Feb. 17-19.
The Tribe returns to Williamsburg for its home opener when it hosts Lafayette College for a weekend set starting Feb. 24.
William and Mary will play eight midweek road contests starting at 2016 NCAA Regional participant Virginia on Feb. 28. Other midweek road games include: VMI (March 1), Maryland (March 7), Virginia Tech (March 21), VCU (April 4), Old Dominion (April 11), Norfolk State (April 12), Richmond (April 18), and George Mason (April 26).
The five-game home mid-week schedule begins with in-state rival Virginia Tech on Wednesday, March 8. W&M also hosts Norfolk State (March 14), VMI (March 22), Old Dominion (March 29), and Maryland (April 19).
The Tribe will compete in a round robin weekend at the Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C. March 3-5.
William and Mary has back-to-back, home nonconference weekends at Plumeri as it hosts St. Joseph's for a single game on March 10 before hosting Yale for a pair of games March 11-12. The final nonconference home series is against 2016 NCAA Regional participant and Atlantic 10 champion Rhode Island on March 17-19.
The final nonconference weekend comes on the road at East Tennessee St April 14-16.
William and Mary hosts four CAA weekends, beginning with Elon April 7-9. The three other home CAA series include James Madison (April 21-23), College of Charleston (May 5-7), and Northeastern (May 11 and 12).
The William and Mary men's basketball team returns home Saturday at 7 p.m. against Presbyterian of the Big South Conference.
The Tribe (1-1) and Presbyterian will meet for the first time and it's the first of two games for William and Mary against a Big South opponent; The Tribe will host Liberty on Nov. 26.
Presbyterian opened with a 73-71 win at home over Furman before falling at UNC Greensboro, 61-42.
The Tribe hosted Richmond on Friday and will visit Old Dominion Sunday.
